Silhouette Dresses is a family-owned boutique in Gaithersburg, Maryland, dressing brides, prom-goers, pageant contestants and mothers of the bride across the DMV for over twenty years.

Meet Farah

Owner and designer Farah Abazary learned her craft from her mother, a respected designer whose eye for beautiful fabric and impeccable fit shaped everything Farah does today. With more than thirty years in design, customization and alterations, Farah was creating gowns professionally long before moving to the United States in 2014. She founded Farah Couture LLC, worked as a master seamstress with respected bridal boutiques throughout the DMV, and opened her own boutique in 2023.

What makes us different

In-house alterations. Most shops send your gown out. We don't. Our own tailors work on site, which means faster turnarounds, fewer surprises, and a fit that is genuinely yours. From a simple hem to reconstructing a bodice, the work happens under our roof.

One appointment, one client. Whether you are shopping for a wedding gown or a homecoming dress, you get our full attention. No rushing, no sharing a stylist with three other parties.

Designers we believe in. We carry Jovani, Terani Couture, Alyce Paris, Morilee, Cinderella Divine, Andrea & Leo, Primavera Couture, Chic & Holland, Colors, Marsoni and Verra Valle, with sizes from 000 through 30.

Who we dress

Brides and their wedding parties. Prom and homecoming students from Montgomery County and across Maryland, Virginia and DC. Pageant contestants competing at local, state and national level, including titleholders at Miss Maryland Week, Miss Montgomery County and Miss Grand. Mothers of the bride and groom. And anyone with a gala, military ball or quinceañera on the calendar.

Giving back

We sponsor local pageant organizations including the Miss Montgomery County Scholarship Organization and Miss Grand, and we work with coaches and directors throughout the region to make sure every young woman who walks a stage feels prepared and confident.
